A bit about me

I've spent my career getting to grips with hard technical problems and turning them into things that work for real people and real businesses.

I started as the first dedicated support engineer at a young telecoms startup, learning SIP, networking and voice from the ground up by diagnosing gnarly, multi-vendor problems no one else could crack. Over the next fifteen years I built and led global support, professional services and delivery teams - follow-the-sun operations spanning the UK, US and Australia - and took ownership of the complex, high-risk customer implementations where things simply had to go right.

These days I sit at the intersection of product, engineering and commercial teams as Director of Strategic Solutions. My focus is the hardest, least-defined problems: conversational AI voice agents, automation, and integration-heavy solutions that don't have an off-the-shelf answer. I still like to build - prototyping, wiring up APIs and integrations, and putting together the tooling and lightweight frontends needed to prove an idea and get it in front of customers quickly.

What I care about is the same thing it always has been: understanding a problem properly, then making something that genuinely solves it.

Away from work, I captain a senior men's hockey team and coach youth sport, so a fair bit of my spare time is spent on a pitch one way or another. I'm also proud to be a governor of Muntham House School.
